1. Popularity of multigenerational travel continues to grow
In a recent survey conducted by GroupAccommodation, 83% of respondents agreed that multigenerational holidays are enjoyable, with over 75% suggesting they plan to travel with different generations of their family again.
2. Branded hotel chains in India to see 50% growth, says report
A recent PwC report has revealed that the Indian hospitality sector is set to grow over the next three years, with branded hotel chains predicted to see a 50% growth by 2022.
3. 46% of travellers in South Africa use voice search to research trips
Nearly half (46%) of travellers in South Africa are using voice search to research their next trip, TravelPort revealed in its Global Digital Traveller Research 2018. Australia, Germany and Japan followed (all 33%).
4. Maldives set to open three new resorts in 2019
Hard Rock Hotel Maldives, Saii Lagoon Maldives from Curio Collection by Hilton and Baglioni Resort Maldives are all set to open their doors in early 2019, highlighting the continued growth in the resort sector throughout the Republic of Maldives.
