From Formula One’s David Coulthard to Hyperloop’s Nick Earle, Booking.com’s annual partner event has a sparkling line-up of travel industry experts and inspirational speakers – and there is still time to get tickets

In this fast-moving, thriving industry it’s essential to keep up with trends, innovation and the latest market changes, and Click. 2018 promises to be the best space for it. On the 18th and 19th September, hundreds of industry leaders and professionals will come together in Amsterdam for Booking.com’s annual conference.

Set on the Dutch capital’s famous canals in a former sugar factory, the SugarCity Events space will transform into a hub of knowledge and inspiration on all things travel tech and hospitality, as experts from Booking.com, BookingGo and Virgin Hyperloop One make up a roster of excellent speakers.

The two-day event opens with a morning keynote from Booking.com CEO Gillian Tans, who will outline the company's vision for the future of travel and how it plans to work with the industry. There will also be a lunchtime keynote speech by New York Times best-selling author and branding expert Sally Hogshead. Described as “a force of nature”, she is the creator of The Fascination Advantage® and has unique insights and strategies for making brands stand out in this saturated digital world.

Deeper insights and celebrity speakers

The line up goes well beyond just travel and business experts: day one sessions will conclude with a Q&A with Formula One’s David Coulthard, a 13-time grand prix winning driver with over 60 podium finishes under his belt, who will offer insights on how to apply his peak performance skills to your career and company.

Breakout sessions throughout both days will offer participants the opportunity to deep dive into a variety of issues relating to the travel and hospitality industries, and regular breaks will act as an ideal time for networking between peers and industry leaders.

At the end of the first day, attendees will explore Booking.com’s home city on a “Discover Amsterdam” canal tour before a dinner at the National Maritime Museum. The regal building, built during the Dutch Golden Age as a warehouse for the Admiralty of Amsterdam, perches right on the water’s edge next to a replica of the 18th-century cargo ship.

Throughout the conference there will be sessions by Booking.com’s Partner Services Director Peter Verhoeven and Chief Marketing Officer Pepijn Rijvers.

In a more informal setting, attendees can wander the Click. Marketplace – open on both days – to connect with members of the various Booking.com teams, as well as external exhibitors showcasing the latest travel technology and products.

Exploring the future of travel together

Looking forward to the future of the industry, day two of Click. 2018 promises a fascinating start with a keynote from Virgin Hyperloop One’s Senior Vice President, Nick Earle. At just four years old, his company is the world’s first to build a fully operational hyperloop system, which is expected to transport passengers and cargo at up to three times the speed of today’s high-speed trains within the next decade.

Finally, the event will close with a cocktail party and another chance to make connections across the industry - we hope to see you there!
